So the school finally opened the studio today, and I wasted no time getting in there to start playing around. I was able to get this shot of myself after playing around with the composition for 15 minutes to get myself in the center. Taking pics of yourself is hard! And the Aptus back is crazy sharp in the studio! I cant wait to get some real shoots in now.

Ok, so I'm now in the process of working on my next shoot. I have a lot of work I have to do to set it up but I'm going to aim for the first weekend of November for it to be shot, and hopefully by the 2nd weekend I will have all the shots I need for the spread. This is a personal shoot I just completed today. I've had this concept in my head for a while, but being from Chicago, I never had the right scenery. Massachusetts has given me the opportunity to really expand my look.

In this shoot, my goal was to create a very editorial style look. The sunset doesn't last long up North these days so I only had about 45 minutes for the shoot. Talk about pressure!

These are two shots from the actual assignment today. We had a shot list for the shots we were supposed to get. One was to shoot somebody from below, and the other was to shoot a jubject that disrupted horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines.

So we had a class trip to Northampton, MA today. We had an assignment to shoot certain shot but barely anybody shot the assignment shots including myself. The town was very eclectic, and was littered with a bunch of interesting people that didnt mid being photographed. One of the people I ran across was this guy that worked at a music store. I think he was in a band, and was pretty used to getting photographed.

I just wanted to let everyone know that as soon as the ball gets rollin on everything at school that I will be posting behind the scenes video of pretty much every shoot. If you like that type of stuff then you should definitely keep checkin the blog out for updates.

Right now, things are pretty slow assignment wise, so I have a couple personal shoots lined up, so stayed tuned for that.

Also, I would like to do an exhibit in Chicago during the summer. The only problem is that I have not decided what the theme for the show would be.
