I just read some exciting news for 5D Mk II owners. Any of you that utilize the video feature have already discovered that shutter speed, ISO, and aperture is all set by the camera when in video mode. For anyone that uses manual on any camera whether still or video knows how valuable it is to choose how the camera performs.

Canon has announced a firmware update for its EOS 5D Mark II digital SLR enabling manual exposure when shooting videos. With the updated version, users will be able to manually adjust the shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings in the video mode. For some reason comments were showing up twice even when the poster would only post once. In my attempt to fix that problem I installed a 3rd party comment system. Hopefully it will alleviate the problem on any future posts. You can now sign in using your facebook account or twitter. Today I entered a group of 9 images into an annual photography contest held by the Editorial Photographers organization. Last year they gave out 5 1st place prizes that consisted of $1000, a year livebooks EDU subscription, and some other good stuff. This year they are going to have 7 1st prize winners. Last year, a student from my school was a winner. I think I have a shot at one of the prizes. These are the images I chose for submission. Leave a comment and tell me what you think of my selections.
